Who is Sean King?

It’s simple; I am a husband, a father, a writer, a published author, a spoken word artist, a computer geek, a community activist, a dreamer, and someone who loves life.

During my life I’ve been fortunate to meet countless numbers of diverse people from all over the world and all walks of life. Performed on stages and in different venues across the country. Self published three books of poetry (Through My Eyes I, Through My Eyes II, and Hypnogysms) while simultaneously studying Computer Engineering. Conducted workshops ranging from finance to poetry. Co-authored and developed the first ever California Health Fact Book for the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). Have been instrumental in creating and advising on-campus and community based organizations in the Sacramento area. Mentor to numerous youth in the Northern California area.. and pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the greatest fraternity in the world.

I’m 39 and would love to say I’ve accomplished my goals and caught a hold of my dreams. In reality, I am merely touching the tip of the iceberg and know there is much more to contribute. More people to uplift, more communities to turn around, more folks to touch right down to the core of their soul. To put it in perspective, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (Malcolm X) were 39 when they were assassinated. By 39 both had already changed the world.

At 39, I’ve been fortunate to accomplish a few things.  That being said, my vision for where I want “us” to be goes far beyond individual accomplishments.
