I vividly remember trying to explain to someone how/why we were so successful at the programs, events, and other activities we did in college. They were hanging on every word, waiting on a blueprint they could mimic. When I told them we were successful because we focused our energy on things we loved; they looked confused and disappointed.

They wanted a step by step guide and I gave them a truth; no matter what you do, if it’s not done from a perspective of love, it will always fall short and leave you wanting. I wonder if they get it yet?

Don’t live your life trying to prove yourself to someone else. Let the haters hate; you just love and live and let it be what it’s gon’ be.
