Right On Time

There I was
Sitting on the edge of my seat
A tightly coiled spring
That had been stretched beyond
My limits due to the load
Of trying to bridge two different worlds

Barely hanging on
By the tips of my fingers
The pressure was mounting
The pain,
Shooting through my spine
Hitting nerves at the core of my soul

At any moment
I would snap

That’s when she walked by
and smiled…

It was exactly what I needed
I’m sorry I ever doubted that you,
Would be right on time
