Love Remains

I don’t see
The graceful flap
Of butterflies
Hovering over flowers
When love is on my
Mind

Even though,
I understand the
circular nature of time
And I’ve been to this
Place before
I’m an amnesiac
So I’m still living
Blind

Each
Traversal
Of the circle of
Life
Causes
The soul’s cage
To be redefined

The soul
retains its identity
But with each trip
We lose the
Contents of our mind

Sometimes
We just lose our mind
But the love remains.

The Love Remains

Love Tsunami

Bring your smiles
Bring your positive attitudes
Bring the beauty of God’s creation

Let us create a Tsunami of love
That will roll under
Over the top of
Right through the negativity

Until the world has been replenished
With goodness,

Until there is nothing left
Except Light
Life
and Love

Africa, Where Are You?

I couldn’t escape
Your hook captured me
Right off the coast
The boat ride was dramatic
The waters, turbulent

I lay exhausted
In a new environment
Comforted only by the tranquility
Of your shores
My life depended on your mercy

Strange sensations
As foreign fingers
Caressed me
We stared
Helplessly
Our destiny
Predetermined

The Fisherman and
The captured Fish
Both with mouths to feed
You unhooked me
You stared into my eyes
We were almost out of time
My mouth gaped wide open

For a brief moment
You understood
I too, am God’s creation
You threw me back in the sea
Feeling like you did the right thing
It was too late
I was already lost

Africa
Where are you?
